William J. Bergmaier
1953 - 2022
William Joseph Bergmaier, age 68, a long time resident of Drexel Hill PA, passed from complications of amyloidosis on March 9, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Deegan). Loving father to Rachael Caldwell (Brian), Patricia Gatti (Andrew), Maureen Martin (Kyle), Brian Bergmaier. Adoring grandfather "Pop" to Annabelle, Gabriel, Julian, Nathaniel, Peter, Cameron, Evangeline, and Zachery. Son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth; loving brother of Joe Bergmaier (Sandy), Michael Bergmaier (Shirley), Jim Bergmaier (late Peg), Tisch Farley (John), Tom Bergmaier (Cyndy), Peg Solon (Frank), Liz Stein (Jon), Tim Bergmaier (Phyllis), Robert Bergmaier (Dawn), Kevin Bergmaier (Judy), Keith Bergmaier (Michelle), and the late Denis Bergmaier.
Bill was born in Croydon, later moving to Valley Forge where he attended Archbishop Carrol High School and met the love of his life Patricia "Pat." He had a long career in construction management which began at his father's company Berkley Construction, later starting his own business Sitecast Construction and Bill ended his career at Robert E. Lamb. Bill was a loving father and father-in-law to his four children and three sons-in-law. He was a doting "Pop" to his eight grandchildren, who loved him dearly. Bill enjoyed spending time with his large extended family and his friends. He was a devout Catholic, longtime member of Saint Dorothy Church, a Eucharist minister and a member of the Men of Malvern. Bill had a contagious smile, enjoyed joking, making people laugh and celebrating life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and we look forward to celebrating his life on March 17th.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, March 16, 2022, 5 to 7 P.M and Thursday, March 17, 2022 9 - 10:15 A.M; followed by Funeral Mass on Thursday March 17th 2022 at, 10:30 A.M., at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill PA 19026.
