William Francis Moreland, 96, of Oxford, PA, passed away on April 23, 2024. Born in Baltimore, MD on July 27, 1927, Bill proudly served in the Navy on the USS Pennsylvania during WWII and later served in Korea. After his discharge, Bill enjoyed a successful business career where he retired from banking in Washington, D.C. He was happily married to his wife of 50 years Mary (Polly) Told Moreland; they enjoyed life and retirement in Baltimore, MD, Marco Island and Naples, FL before landing in Oxford, PA. Throughout his life, he thoroughly enjoyed being involved with his favorite pastime, the Barbershop Harmony Society. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Joanne (Ronald) Martin and numerous godchildren, family, and friends who will miss him dearly. A memorial service will take place in the chapel at the Health Center on the Ware Presbyterian Campus on May 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM. (7 Locust Lane, Oxford, PA) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of William Moreland to the Ware Employee Appreciation Fund, Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, PA or the Barbershop Harmony Society, 110 7th Avenue N, Nashville, Tennessee, 37203. Interment will be private.
