Barbara Scott (nee Emmerich), became an Angel on December 14, 2020. She was blessed with 38 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Tom, who preceded her in death in 2003. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Christopher) Shields, Meredith Scott and her grandchildren, Carter and Madison Shields and Jacob and Tommy Young.
Born in Queens, NY, “Babs” - as she was endearingly called, lived most of her life on Long Island. Barbara loved to travel, enjoyed Broadway shows and was lovingly teased for often being “dressed to the nines”. She was grateful to have close friendships that spanned most of her lifetime. Her greatest joys were the quality times she spent with family and friends. She will be dearly missed for her sparkling personality, sense of humor and generous spirit.
She will be commemorated with a place next to her late husband, a former Marine, at Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island. A Celebration of Life will be held when family and friends can gather.
